Great Flight Aviary Rejuvenation

Warrandale were engaged by Zoos Victoria to undertake extensive rejuvenation works to the existing Great Flight Aviary boardwalk at Melbourne Zoo.

The scope involved demolition of the existing structure, rust treatment to existing pylons, new steel subframe, hardwood timber decking and custom balustrading.  All works were undertaken whilst the aviary remained active with birdlife.  Our staff work closley with the keepers to ensure minimal disruption to the birds, completing the demolition and rebuild over a 7 week period!
