The Alamanda Estate in Point Cook pioneered several exciting projects of scale, and difficulty. The Alamanda Wetland designed by MDG Landscape Architects, required the Warrandale project team to construct the works efficiently, due to the size and degree of difficulty in a wetland that would fill on the first sight of rain.
Foundation management was critical to get this project out of the ground. Our team stood over 80 large spiral foundations to receive the canter levered sections of steel sub floor. Warrandale provided the design engineering and details for the project to aid in cost controls and project outcomes during the design stage of the project.
The extent and scale of this boardwalk with public lighting, viewing deck, and DDA compliance ramps set a new standard for wetland boardwalk construction. We have since used the modified engineering design on numerous projects throughout Victoria.
