Scope

Warrandale Industries was engaged by Parks Victoria to construct the first stage of the Kokoda Memorial Terrace, located at Ferntree Gully.

Works included construction of interpretive signage and shelter, civil works, stormwater drainage, stone paving, concrete ampitheatre, suspended concrete dias with feature memorial pillars and native plantings.

Works were completed prior to the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Isurava, providing veterans, their families and dignatries the opportunity to pay tribute to those who fought to defend Australia.

The interpretive signage panels tell the story of the Kokoda campaign as well as individual stories of the surviving Australian soldiers.
