Highlands Lake Reserve

Location Craigieburn

Warrandale Industries were contracted to help create this amazing 4 hectare open parkland, of which was constructed in just 10 weeks. Our scope included extensive coloured concrete footpaths, detailed feature paving, and hardwood timber bridges, of which surround the 1.3km lake perimeter. Thorough setout was required to ensure landscape elements located either side of the lake were aligned, resulting in an ascetically pleasing recreational area.

In addition, a detailed public lighting system to cover all pathways and the lake perimeter and automatic irrigation system to all garden beds within the reserve were also a part of our package.

With installation of over 250 advanced trees, 6,500 shrubs and groundcovers, and expansive turfed Kikuyu grass areas, the Highlands Lake is an open parkland to be enjoyed by local residents for time to come.

In 2007, the Landscape Industry Association of Victoria (LIAV) awarded Warrandale the Civil Commercial Landscape of the Year for the outstanding works undertaken on this project.
